Time seductively lifts her veil,
Come, come, she beckons, set sail,
Sift and drift into the mists of the past,
Hesitate not, for the die is cast.
Why, why, I ask, must I beget,
Memories I wish to forget.
Ask me not to go back,
My past, it is coal black.
Uh oh, said she, you foolish girl,
Come hither and rediscover the lost pearl,
Of many a memory once a treasure,
Trust me, these will bring you a lot of pleasure.
