Life’s Caress

The wind whistles a tune,
The sand dances in the dune,
The palm fronds sway,
The veil from the face blows away.

There she stands,
Barefoot in the sands,
Her kohl rimmed eyes,
Gazing up at the skies.

The clouds shadow her silhouette,
The wind laughs…does a pirouette,
Back and forth, she sways,
Hold me in this life’s caress, she prays.

It’s this dance that frees,
Unfetters the spirit and let’s it be!
